Ta-Ta Sisterhood, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation that envisions a world without breast cancer. The sale of our clothing generates funds to help us achieve our mission of increasing the awareness, prevention, early diagnosis, treatment and eradication of breast cancer worldwide.

Breast Cancer Network of Strength and its network of affiliates provide information and support to anyone touched by breast cancer. As originally envisioned by Network of Strength’s founders, all programs and services are available free-of-charge.

Ta-Ta Sisterhood, Inc. was founded by Deb Mergen in honor of her youngest sister, Pam. In 2007, Pam was diagnosed with breast cancer and spent the following year not only fighting for her life, but also being an advocate and role model for all women. Pam Johnston continues to inspire and motivate her sisters today as they recant her mantra, “Not me. Not today. Today I am strong. For me. For you. Today. Tomorrow. Always”.

Deb is a Registered Nurse in Springfield, Missouri. She is married and has two daughters of whom she is very proud. Her youngest daughter is currently pursuing a career in cosmetology and vows to be an active part in her mom’s endeavor by providing personal pampering services for women affected by breast cancer to promote positive self esteem. Her oldest daughter is currently living and studying in Spain and is committed to being involved by providing translation services as well as attending events as a Spanish speaking advocate.

Deb has been blessed with many sisters. Four have been by her side, always. One, she called “Mom”, now watches from above. She gave birth to two and married the son of one. She has new sisters among her neighbors, close friends, extended family, and co-workers. She has old sisters whom she’ll never forget.

Deb wishes to extend a heartfelt plea to all sisters, whether they have been affected by breast cancer or knows a sister who has. “Please support the Ta-Ta Sisterhood in our mission, so that every sister has the power to say, “Not Me. Not Today”.
